Black & Decker 4-Slice Convection Toaster Oven - White

Black & Decker 4-Slice Convection Toaster Oven - White 4-Slice capacity. Bakes. Toasts. Top Browns/Defrosts.
Customer Review: So far so good!!
I purchased this toaster oven over a month ago for my worksite. So far it's performed well. At first finding the write setting for toastin bread was a little tricky, but once found it worked great. Haven't done any cooking with it. But as far as warming up food, or frozen foods has performed well. Easy to clean. Big knobs are also a plus, have a rugged feel to them.
Customer Review: Great Find
I had the standard Toaster oven by GE finally went on me.
I asked my daughter to help me find one that was just simple, no flashy extras. Just a timer, heat setting and oven or toast selector can't get much simpliar than that. Very well designed, and has replaced my oven completely. Some people may not like the sound of the ticking of the timer, but personally it's a good reminder it's on. Also you can only set the timer up until an hour and to me that is a good function also cause I don't think you would or should use this to replace and oven for long time cooking.

#Sunbeam 6198 4-Slice Toaster Oven, White

Sunbeam 6198 4-Slice Toaster Oven, White Sunbeam 4 Slice Toaster Oven features include oven temperature control baking pan with broiler rack and 15 minute time with stay-on option.
Customer Review: Runs Very Hot
My toaster oven runs very hot, probably 125 to 150 degrees over the thermostat setting. This is an inexpensive oven, and clearly the quality is low. It is a reminder that you get what you pay for.
Customer Review: wire tray does not slide in & out of toaster without assistance.
The wire tray is designed to slide in & out of the toster with the help of TWO metal hooks, one on each side of the door. ONE hook is missing on my toaster so I have to use my finger to push the tray slightly into the body of the toaster before the door will close. I have burnt my fingers doing this !

    Customer Review: "It's dead Jim"
Today my Oster died. It was 8 months old. It caught fire internally when I tried to heat up some toquitos. The flames were coming near where the chord entered the chassie. I think it committed suicide with the intention of taking me and my family with it. I wish I could say it lived a good life...but alas I cannot. The controls were so frustating and non-intuitive. Making toast took twice as long as it should have. It's default setting completely burns the toast. I'm happy it died. RIP.

Customer Review: Best toaster oven I have ever had
We bought this great convection toaster oven about ten months ago for $60. It gets daily usage for toast, heating food, and cooking food, all with excellent results. Even pizza and baking cookies! One tip for the best results is to always be mindful of the position of the rack. For instance, for toast always be sure the rack is positioned so that the bread is the same distance between the top and bottom elements. For pizza I find moving it up a notch is better.

This unit makes the most evenly toasted toast that I've experienced in a toaster oven. And the electronic button for selecting doneness is pretty accurate.

I agree with other reviewers that the controls could have been made more user friendly, but after using it for a couple of weeks I got used to all of the settings and best temperatures to use, and now it's second nature. One thing that I still have a problem with, however, is that you have to press off twice to turn the oven off, just once puts it on pause. My husband has accidentally left it on a couple of times, but it will go off when the timer runs out.

The only other negative is that when you pull something out to reposition food, etc. the tray kind of collapses down unexpectedly so if you're not careful you can get burned, or your food can come flying out at you.

All in all this is a great oven for all of the purposes it's meant for. If it weren't for the couple of things I mentioned I would give it five stars.

Cuisinart TTOB-30BW Toaster Oven/Broiler

Cuisinart TTOB-30BW Toaster Oven/Broiler Contemporary styling and up-to-the-minute cooking technology make this Cuisinart Classic toaster oven a welcome workhorse in the kitchen. Built with a 0.5-cubic-foot interior, the 1500-watt oven toasts bread, bakes cookies, broils fish, and browns casseroles without heating up the kitchen. The oven holds up to a 5-pound chicken, six slices of bread, or a 9-inch pie, and the temperature settings range from 200 to 500 degrees F. Toasting controls include automatic temperature adjustment for perfect results, batch after batch, and an audible tone upon completion. With its black wrinkle exterior and tinted glass door, the oven is both streamlined and low-profile. The control panel is straightforward with three separate dials for temperature, function, and shade control. The oven's interior, complete with two rack positions and a rack safety stop, is lined with an easy-to-clean nonstick surface. The rack, crumb tray, and chrome-plated steel broiler pan are all dishwasher-safe. The oven measures a tidy 14.8 by 18.8 by 11.3 inches. Cuisinart includes automatic shut-off for safety and a three-year warranty against defects. --Emily Bedard
Customer Review: Unreliable, potentially unsafe.
We've had similar problems with our Cuisinart TOB-30W as the other reviewers. We owned our first unit for two years before it started crackling and sparking when we turned it to Bake. Then it finally stopped working. Cuisinart replaced it with a brand new unit that lasted only one year before it started doing the same. They told us the three year warranty was not renewed when we received the new unit, so now they aren't able to help us. It appears that we're probably safer without the toaster oven based on the other reviews here.
Customer Review: worked great for awhile
I bought this last year for a summer cabin, so it has only been used periodically over a total span of six months. Suddenly the thing refuses to turn off. We noticed this when the smoke alarm went off last night! It only turns off when unplugged. Not only that, the top unit stopped working completely so all we can do is bake. It was great while it lasted, but I read these same complaints in other reviews so this is evidently a glitch in this particular model. I don't recommend.

Proctor Silex 31115 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler, White

Proctor Silex 31115 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler, White Extra-large interior easily fits 4 slices, a 9 inch cake pan or 2 personal pizzas. 15 minute timer with automatic shutoff and ready bell. Handy broiler for cooking versatility. Removable crumb tray for easy cleanup. Bake pan is great for cooking or warming biscuits, rolls, sandwiches or leftovers. White This item will take 2-3 weeks to ship. Shipments cannot be expedited on this item. .
Customer Review: good value
I'm a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews here. This is a great (and roomy) toaster oven, especially for a $25.00 price tag. Makes great toast and is great for warming up leftovers. The timer is easy to understand and use. It's a great value for the money.
Customer Review: Too hot to handle
The back and top got so hot that they could not be touched, which worried me that overheating could occur if someone placed anything on top of the unit (a hot mitt or cookbook) or even pushed it against the wall too tightly. Because of concern for use by children and/or fire hazard, I had to return this item.

Chicago Metallic Gourmetware 2-Piece Toaster Oven/Broiler Pan

Chicago Metallic Gourmetware 2-Piece Toaster Oven/Broiler Pan A toaster oven should do more than toast bagels. With the Chicago Metallic broiler pan, the toaster oven reaches its potential by broiling meats, roasting potatoes, and baking a mini batch of cookies. The pan measures 10-1/4 by 7-1/4 inches and 3/4 inch deep--just right for single-serving sizes. It is durably constructed of aluminized steel for the long-lasting usage that professional cooks love and has a nonstick surface for the quick cleanup that home cooks need. The rack nestles inside the pan, but can be used separately as a cooling rack for cookies. --Lynne Sampson
Customer Review: Gift
I bought this as a gift for someone who wanted one. I did not read carefully and it is a bit smaller that I expected but fits a steak or a couple of burgers. She says it is well made and cleans easily.
Customer Review: Small pan but tough in action.
I bought this pan set to use with my new Cuisinart toaster oven. It's a nice, sturdy set. I've use it several times and I am quite happy with it's performance. I intend on purchasing another one.

Regarding it's size, even knowing the stated measurements beforehand, for some reason it still seemed smaller than I anticipated. Or maybe it's that I am not used to toaster oven size pans. The size is fine for me as I generally just cook for myself. However, fitting large portions on it would be a problem. Two pork chops is all you are going to fit on it. FYI.

Cuisinart TOB-50 Classic Toaster Oven Broiler, brushed stainless and black Cuisinart, Classic, 4 Slice, Toaster/Oven Broiler, .5 CUFT Capacity, Brushed Stainless Steel, 3 Control Dials, Easy To Clean Interior, MAP Price $99.95.
Customer Review: great product
It is a great toaster oven. Works extremely well. Seems to be high quality. It definetly is better than heating up the house with the regular oven. I would highly recommend this toaster oven.
Customer Review: Great for the first year, now need to replace
This toaster oven was great for the first year or so. Then we started having occasional problems with the door not staying shut. Now, after 3 years, the door never stays shut and the toaster oven tends to burn most things. We are ready to replace it! I thought that a brand like Cuisinart would make a long-lasting appliance, guess I was wrong!

Chef Pepin CH48555 Stainless-Steel Toaster Oven with Broiler Function, Metallic Red

Chef Pepin CH48555 Stainless-Steel Toaster Oven with Broiler Function, Metallic Red Pepin left Cuba in 1960, and without forgetting his roots, he settled down in South Florida where he began working as a chef for a local Marina. Soon after, he opened a distribution center of fast food and sandwiches for local restaurants in the area. After attending gastronomy school and gaining invaluable knowledge and experience, Chef Pepin discovered that he not only had a vast array and still growing pool of personal recipes, but by combining his incredible sense of humor with the art of cooking, a magic seasoning was created and his TV career was launched in 1988.Chef Pepin has had years of success in the kitchen and is now proud to introduce a line of appliances for you to bring into your own home.Features Include:Stainless-steel 1000-watt toaster oven with broiler function Use for baking, toasting, and grilling12-liter capacity Selection switch for choosing between upper and/or lower heat Adjustable temperatureTimerrack and baking pan included.
Customer Review: Good basic product
The oven portion of this product works much better than others I've had. The toaster is also good, but because there's so much interior space, toast takes longer than usual(and you set a timer, rather than a scale from "light" to "dark"). The directions are badly written, and it took a while to realize that all three dials (including the timer) need to be on for it to work. It has a reasonably small base but it's fairly tall, which makes it appear larger than it is.
Customer Review: Great Product; Stinky Manual
Overall, I am very happy with this product. It works well and looks great. My only negative comment would be that the manual could use to be a bit more specific. You have a choice of using the top or bottom heating element, or both. But, the manual does not tell you what you should be using for broiling vs. baking, etc. I had to find this out by trial and error. But, once I got the gist of it, I love it.

Black & Decker TRO964 Classic Countertop 1350-Watt Toaster Oven

Black & Decker TRO964 Classic Countertop 1350-Watt Toaster Oven 4 Slice Capacity / Bakes and Broils / Toasts sliced bread and sndwiches / Easy to use / 1350 Watts / For Counter Top use / 110V AC Power Cord
Customer Review: SAVE YOUR MONEY
I initially purchased this oven because it not only looked good, but could cook a frozen pizza. The first one only worked less than a month before it had to be exchanged. Now the 2nd one quit working--has a short inside--keep banging it a couple of times until it finishes cooking. Worse toaster oven I had ever purchased. It is not dependable. Very disappointed. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T BUY THIS ITEM.
Customer Review: It's headed for the Goodwill!
My primary reason for buying this was to make toast. It holds two slices and cooks the bread only on the right side, so if you want it cooked evenly you have to rotate the bread half way through cooking. Also, if you want to cook another item right after you have just used it the heating elements wont come on. I'm guessing it must be some kind of safety feature that it has to completely cool down before you can use it again.

I have broiled Costco frozen egg rolls in it and it worked great. All in all I would say that if you're just useing it to reheat food it would work fine, but as for me I'm on to the next toaster oven.

DeLonghi RO2058 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie

DeLonghi RO2058 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven with Rotisserie .7 Cubic Feet Black Convection Oven with manual controls and rotisserie
Customer Review: Burned the daylights out of my hand
Wanted a largish convection oven to assist for Thanksgiving. One of the extras for me was the rotisserie feature. I seasoned a 2.5 lb pork for my first rotis. experience with this beast and found that the spit did not continue turning consistently. It kind of got stuck/kept slipping out of gear. I branded my hand with the top heating element fiddling with the spit in the middle of my endeavor. I will now have a nice lifelong scar to show for this purchase. If I have time, I am going to return this piece of dreck to Macy's where I purchased it for $99.

If, as is often the case with me, this animal ends up with the various other useless or defective appliances I have accumulated and am too lazy to return, I will indulge in the pleasure of bringing it to the local dump on a day off and hurl it into the large metal compactor with extreme prejudice.
Customer Review: Disappointing
Impossible to clean interior and pan as finish comes right off with even light scrubbing. Interior scratched right away just from inserting oven rack. Doesn't have specific temps: you must estimate. Also, when using as toaster per instructions, easy to burn yourself reaching to get toast out of oven. The list of things I dislike about this oven go on. I cannot even imagine using it as a rotisserie! You'd never get it cleaned! And it is not inexpensive. Keep looking!

save yourself a headache and believe the posters that gave this product one star...exactly a year later, I am buy another toaster oven. it just stopped working...
Customer Review: A good product
I recently purchased this toaster oven. It works very well and I'm extremely happy with it. One item that I do not like is the constant bright display of zeros. I have to unplug it to cancel the display - a nuisance. Other than that, it's worth the price.

It works very well for heating up personal size pizzas and bagel bites in a toaster oven.

The Classic Toaster Oven Broiler is large enough to bake a chicken, broil fish for the family, or toast four thick bagel halves at once. And it all happens right on the countertop.
Customer Review: Remodel
We purchased this toaster oven to use during our complete kitchen remodel. The laundry room was the make do kitchen area for longer than I would like to remember. To make life seem as normal as possible during this process I used this product almost daily from morning toast to even broiled chicken. The remodel is complete and the toaster oven has earned it's counter space and the stainless steel finish looks great next to my new appliances.
Customer Review: hot toaster oven
I thought this would be a great toaster oven. It is not. You have to turn the heat down on everything or the food will burn (even toast). It is also awkard to clean as the drip tray is on the back. I would not recommend this one for anybody.

Sanyo SK-WA2S 5-Slice Toaster Oven, Silver

Sanyo SK-WA2S 5-Slice Toaster Oven, Silver From homemade lasagna to frozen foods, use the twin inlet toaster-convection oven instead of your heat blasting, energy wasting oven. It cooks healthier, locking in flavor. Serve up some of the familys favorite foods in record-breaking time: chicken nuggets, hot dogs, pizza, macaroni and cheese, cookies, cakes, and rolls.
Customer Review: It actually TOASTS BREAD!! :)
I've had a few toaster ovens in my time and this one beats them all hands down as the very best. It actually "toasts" bread better than even many regular toasters :) We who buy toaster-ovens want a product that not just bakes tater-tots or whatever else but toasts bread so we don't have to have 2 appliance on the counter. I mean... why even call it a "toaster" oven if it can't make a decent peace of toast. Well this one does it perfectly! It makes it fast & even and does not dry out the bread as the others.

There was a day when the microwave didn't exist so the toaster oven did a lot of re-heating but now we're more dependant on it being good at toasting & crisping and that's what this one actually does well (as well as bakes too), unlike any others I've ever owned. Oh, by the way, I was a bit leary about it not having all the bake temperature settings, but it's fine and it works out great on the "Pizza" setting which bakes at about 375.

A definite 10. It does get kinda hot on the outside but that's a small price to pay for such a great product.

Go ahead and buy it without doubts :)

Customer Review: toast this!
After ordering this, I noticed a lot of toaster ovens have just a single heating bar above and below. The elements in this oven are U shaped, which heats things more evenly, and 1300 watts is pretty hot. The top of the oven seems to stay cool, which is great. It doesn't take up much space.

Two racks come with it, a mesh one and a tray. The tray I used right away to toast pine nuts to fix my pesto jones. It was a lot faster than toasting in a frying pan, and for a pesto addict, speed is so essential ;)

Not so great: because the oven is so hot, it seems like the edges of the toast will start to burn before the center gets browned. I've only had this a week or two, so if I figure out how to get what I want, I'll update this review.

Wishes: an real temperature control (rather than upper/lower/warm/etc), and being able to adjust the height of the rack. These features are both hard to find in a toaster oven, though.

Cuisinart TOB-30BC Classic Toaster Oven/Broiler, Brushed Chrome

Cuisinart TOB-30BC Classic Toaster Oven/Broiler, Brushed Chrome Sleekly contemporary with a brushed-chrome exterior and tinted window, this toaster oven has a .5-cubic-foot capacity, large enough to roast a 5-pound chicken or toast six slices of thick bread. It can be used for baking pies, cookies, and casseroles; for broiling fish, steaks, and burgers; and for toasting bagels and English muffins as well as browning gratins and cobblers. Its nonstick interior wipes clean with a cloth and its rack (which fits in two positions) and broiler/baking pan are dishwasher-safe. Though the 1500-watt oven has a large capacity, it measures a compact 18 inches wide (including handles), 9-1/4 inches high, and 13-1/2 inches deep (including dial controls and a handy cord-wrap in the rear). The oven offers baking temperatures from 200 to 500 degrees F. There are three toast settings, with an automatic shutoff and an audible tone when toasting is completed. The toaster oven carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
Customer Review: Electrical Problems
Great features, and an overall okay toaster oven. It reheated slices of pizza, toasted bread and bagels, and made its share of baked potatoes over the years -- I've had mine going on 3 years now. After just six months, however I experienced occasional arching of electrical current when switching it between functions. Since then, it mysteriously beeps for no reason when in the "off position", but this has been a good reminder just to unplug it. More recently, I have begun to worry it is some sort of fire hazard. Today, it simply stopped working all together, after almost 3 years of relatively gentle use; I probably used it 1 to 2 times per week on average.
Customer Review: Worked okay for awhile
I bought this item three years ago or so. I never had a problem with it beeping in the middle of the night or smoking like some reviewers have had. It worked pretty well over the period of time that I've had it. Unfortunately the top two heating elements have stopped working which basically makes it useless. I wish I could have gotten a bit more life out of my $90 purchase.

Customer Review: My favorite kitchen appliance of all time
This is an awesome product, if only in appearance. It just looks cool on my big, empty counter. Like other reviewers, I haven't really had much use for the warming tray, although I have slightly re-warmed squash in a bowl while baking a potato when my microwave was broken. Also melted butter, but unless you've got time to waste, it's not too convenient. And most bowls/dishes don't fit in the top part, at least with the lid closed. I haven't had problem with vibrations- it only does that when the door is not securely closed. You do have to push the time buttons a lot because it always starts off at 30 minutes to bake. I like the toast settings- I think there are 8, and once you find your perfect one, it does a great job. I have baked banana bread in there following the receipe instructions exactly, and it turned out 100% perfect- golden brown, cooked through but not overcooked, perfectly even crust. I frequently broil fish and toast grilled cheese; I've made cornish hens, casseroles, and muffins. Everything turns out perfect and evenly browned. Regular-sized 6 muffin tray, loaf pan, 9 in. pie plate, 8x8in. baking dish, 2qt. casserole dish all fit perfectly, although I have to put the lid to my casserole dish upside down, since the little handle on top makes it too tall. It comes with 2 racks (although you can't really use them at once because they'd be about an inch or 2 apart), and a nice broiler tray and regular tray (remove wire rack before use), and some tongs. The tongs are okay, they serve their purpose, but definitely don't replace nicer, spring-loaded tongs. The crumb tray doesn't like to latch in and the bottoms of each section do kind of stain, but everything else is easy to keep clean. It beeps a lot and is really load, so you won't miss it (and if you do, it shuts off automatically, so no worry). I guess it is kind of big, especially to open the warming tray, but I have the space, so I love it. It's a chic-looking, well-engineered product. Plus, it takes the #3 spot on Consumer Report's reviews of toaster ovens, so it is worth the price compared to Cuisinart, etc. I've used other T-Fal appliances before, and I am always satisfied- they make great products, and this is no exception.
Customer Review: Toaster should come with snooze alarm
I have had my oven for about a month. It was mainly bought to replace and old Black and Decker that was put to rest after 7 years. We are big toast fans, and use it every day for breakfast bread and bagel toasting. Though the bread toasts, and pretty evenly, it takes at least 4 and sometimes 4.5 minutes to toast a slice of bread. I am disappointed that it takes that long. I haven't used the oven much yet for baking/roasting, etc. but when I did, it did a good job. So if you are mainly buying this to toast, and want it to be faster, you may go with something else.

Oven is plenty big enough.. but crumb collection at botton is not so good. otherwise OK

Customer Review: Couldn't Be Happier !
I ordered this product after a week long search of reviews and research with several different makes and models of toaster ovens. The Krups model FBC512 had great reviews on three to four different web sites and I decided to take a chance. I could not be happier with my decision! This toaster oven is very user friendly, is very attractive, is large capacity without taking up an entire counter top, and heats evenly with everything from toast to baking a dinner casserole. Our toaster oven is used several times a day at least six days a week; in the month and a half we have owned it, there has been nothing that I have been unhappy about.
Customer Review: Excellent quality
Uniform heat, durable heating elements, easy to clean, nice layout of controls. Worth the money.

Had to have it shipped twice, the first one was delivered into the ether. Great customer service from Amazon!
