It is a great toaster oven. Works extremely well. Seems to be high quality. It definetly is better than heating up the house with the regular oven. I would highly recommend this toaster oven.
Customer Review: Great for the first year, now need to replace
This toaster oven was great for the first year or so. Then we started having occasional problems with the door not staying shut. Now, after 3 years, the door never stays shut and the toaster oven tends to burn most things. We are ready to replace it! I thought that a brand like Cuisinart would make a long-lasting appliance, guess I was wrong!

Just got off the phone with Cuisinart no-customer service. We had our first TOB-50 8 or 9 months when the door started to not close. After several phone calls the unit was replaced by Cuisinart. The replacement is now 2 1/2 years old and THE DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE. Cuisinart acts like they are unfamiliar with the problem and stated there was no recall. Because the replacement takes on the warranty of the original unit, my unit is now out of warranty and there is no fix for it, we were told. I questioned the multiple websites that carry reviews of this problem--are they hiding their head in the sand?? They refuse to acknowledge this design problem and don't seem to care.
