Toaster was defective. I called Cuisinart and they were very uncooperative. I returned the item to Amazon (who always stand behind what they sell) but I would hesitate to purchase a Cuisinart product again - given their customer service.

TOASTER/JMS
THE TOAST WORKS WELL, ACCEPTS LARGE SLICES OF BREAD, IS ADJUSTABLE. A VERY GOOD PRODUCT.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS ONE
Normally I check Amazon's reviews for everything I buy...I didn't today. I saw this toaster on sale at Kohl's and I picked it up as our old one has seen better days. When we got home I made waffles for my son. They totally burnt as black as coal on a setting of 4. I decided to try bread on the other side. After 2 cycles the toast was nicely done on one side but barely toasted on the other. That's when I checked the reviews from the Amazon customers (who are almost always right, by the way) and almost all state the same problem I'm having!!! This toaster is nothing short of junk and it's going back first thing in the morning. Don't waste your time even though it looks nice - that's the only thing it has going for it!

Toasts Evenly
I was wondering if the extra cost was worth it for a toaster. It is possible to buy them cheaper in other places, but the even toasting, the wide slots for bagels (also works well with English muffins), and the sleek stainless steel exterior make it a great value. Just a word of note is the sides of the toaster stay cool while toasting. It was well worth the few extra dollars.

Solid well built machine.
Only cons I can think of are: fingerprints and the toasting compartment could be a little deeper since the tops of what is being toasted are right at the upper limit of the machine. McDonald's pancakes stick up and stay cool. This may be an issue with most other units as well?

Works like it should
I am real happy with this toaster. I toasts nicely. The "warm" cycle does what it says, heats the bread back up with only a slight additional toasting. I love the "bagel" setting. One side toasted, the other side heated, with just a light toast. The negative, it does take longer to toast bread, but the resulting product is worth waiting for. I would definitely buy this toaster again and would recommend it to anyone.

Black & Decker T4030 4-Slice Toaster
The Toaster looks really great, has options for bagels and frozen items. Works great, best toaster I had so far . Only negative I found is electrical cord
(less than 2 feet) which cheapens this product! Openings are wide enough for
bagels and has two adjustable controls. After one month of service, superb
product.

A shiney gadget that works
I bought this for our house in the US as I don't like soggy sandwiches as I am a Brit in NC who is yet to discover a crusty loaf of bread.
This toaster is brill, no flaws have yet been found apart from the fact that it takes up a lot of counter top in our small kitchen.

doesn't toast
I didn't know that toasters could be or would be made without heating elements on both sides of the toast. This toaster has 4 slots--but only 4 heating elements--instead of 8 (which would be 1 for each side of the toast). Not only is it slow--it does not (and I can't understand how it could possibly) toast both sides of the bread--as there are not elements on both sides of the bread--unless I have a defective toaster. We are looking for a new toaster.

Does NOT have bagel setting
This toaster does NOT have a setting for toasting bagels or English muffins on one side. It advertises a bagel setting, and it has a button labeled "Bagel," but this setting has nothing to do with toasting bagels. It just increases toasting time, and still toasts both sides. That is NOT what anyone else calls a bagel setting.
Also, the backlit toast numbers are impossible to read when you're standing up. You have to stoop down to countertop level to see them through the hole in the case. Did anyone who worked on the design of this toaster actually use it in a real kitchen? If I weren't returning it for the defective bagel setting, I'd be returning it for that design feature alone.

Great toaster
We bought this toaster several years ago and really liked it. So, when it came time to buy one for my dad as a gift, this is the one we bought. Simple to use, nice features.

Toaster with pull out crumb tray
Nice, compact size toaster. The best thing is the pull out crumb tray. It's easy to clean and that is why I ordered it. You don't have to turn it upside down like some toasters and the crumbs go flying all over the place.

slow....
Really slow toaster. Otherwise toasts evenly and nice. Is worth the low price if you are never in a hurry when toasting....I am not happy with it as I usually am in a hurry.

Great little toaster
This is one great little toaster! It is a no frills toaster that does just fine making toast evenly- fast enough to please me-and works as good as my last expensive one that finally quit. I replaced it with this one and it is every bit as good. I recommend it to anyone.

Great toaster
This Avante 4-slice toaster is well worth the money. The counter size is just right. The toaster is slanted and with the lift out feature no burned fingers.

T-Fal Toaster
I've had my new toaster for about a month so far. My only complaint about it is the length of the cord. It's pretty short which limited where I could put it on my counter. I have no problem with the toasting aspect of it. It has a nice feature that allows you to pop the bread out a little further if the bread is small.
I would recommend it to someone looking for a toaster. Oh, by the way, it is on the larger side so if counter space is a problem, you might want to think twice about it.
